House District 63 -- two good stories, but no closer to a choice
A real good job of political coverage in this morning's Dallas Morning News. Staff writer Jay Parsons writes two solid stories on the five candidates for State House District 63. In the first (lead story on Metro front), Mr. Parsons writes how each candidate is trying to separate him/herself from the muddled pack, and many are trying to "out-conservative" their opponents. In the second, Mr. Parsons analyzes the candidates' campaign-finance disclosures and finds no clear separation there either. Both stories were of great interest to me, but neither helped me decide will candidate will get my vote. It's not the reporter's fault -- it's just that there's a pack, and no candidate has successfully separated him/herself from it.
