Election Day!
Just a short post using my cell phone while waiting in line to vote at the FM Library. I'm here about 8am. There's a line of about 50 poeple, but it's moving. I should be in and out in 20-30 minutes. Pity the folks in Dallas County, some of whom will have more than 100 choices to make on their ballot. Those lines could be long, if it takes people a lot more time to make all their selections.
Uh oh, someone just found out they're at the wrong polling site. Hope they won't get stuck having to wait in two lines.
Kind of quiet here today - very subdued atmosphere compared to a Town election or to the March primary when we had all those state rep candidates to sort through. I saw one Tan Parker sign in town this month - it's nice to have a free ride in November.
I'll be spending the rest of the day, and all night tonight, watching the votes come in at FOX 4. Should be an interesting day.
How was your voting day? How long did you have to wait? Post a comment.

I voted early on Friday afternoon and the line was quite long. I waited about an hour. When I finally got into the room with the booths (there were a lot of booths!), only about 1/4-1/3 of them were in use. The slowdown is getting signed in. That has been a problem for years. I don't know if it's that way everywhere, but it has always been that way here in FM when I vote. I wonder if there is a way to make the process more efficient?
I voted at Wellington Elem. No wait, walked in and voted. It was the easiest ever.
Chip,
I've tried to email you about an email I received today that I thought you might want to post on the other site...but chip-at-smartbusy.tv. isn't a valid email address when I hit send. Am I doing something wrong? I got that from the area under "Your Host"
it's chip@smartbusy.tv ... the reason you'll see people do it like chip-at-smartbusy.tv is to avoid computers that surf the internet looking for e-mail links to spam.
I voted at the FM police station early last week! No wait. And quick!
