Missing Beijing Wok

We were driving home from church yesterday morning, and wanting something good to take home to eat. A lot of times like this we'd stop in at Beijing Wok to get our favorite Chinese dishes. But as previously reported here, the Wok has rolled away. That's left a Chinese food void on the south side of Town. Yeah sure, there's Panda Express on FM3040, but their menu is very limited.

We're missing it, too. Do you have any recommendations for somewhere else? I'll drive further north or east if I have to.

I like Empress of China the best. At 407 and Morriss, a couple of buildings to the east of the Albertsons in that intersection. The restaurant backs up to Stone Hill Farms neighborhood. Upscale styling inside. Great food. The only problem is it's a 6-8 mile hike from my home.

The Thai resturant that opened up in place of the Chinese restaurant is great! The interior is very warm and exotic. The food is delicious and service was great. This is a wonderful restaurant for a date night with your spouse or couples night out. We actually took our boys (13 & 18) the first time we visited. They enjoyed it too.
