Strip mall blues

A drive tonight revealed that two businesses near Kroger have closed, both in the same strip center on the west side of FM2499. Gone are Athletic Warehouse (a sporting goods and athletic wear store) and that Tan & Coffee joint a few doors down.

Any back-story here? Just not enough business to keep the doors open, or something else?
