The latest on the mayor's race
Jody's signs are sprouting up around town, but she's using her old signs with the old slogan "A New Voice for Flower Mound". Correction: "The Right Voice for Flower Mound". That slogan doesn't seem to fit so well any more. At the very least, you'd think she'd put a banner that says "Re-Elect" over her old signs. Haven't seen any signs for Jim Lang yet.
This race is getting off to an unusually slow start. Perhaps it's due in part to the late runoff election.

Actually, they taped over the bottom and it now reads "The Right Voice for Flower Mound." I was a little surprised that they decided to keep the "voice" insult alive and risk alienating those who might actually think Lori DeLuca did some good things for Flower Mound. I guess it's a fine line between aloof and just plain arrogant.
Personally, I thought we could all do without signs for a change, but I guess that's just the nature of the beast. The last person I told that I wasn't doing signs ended up painting one on the side of a truck trailer off 3040 by the driving range. The code enforcement folks didn't seem to appreciate it much.
Anyway, I guess it's time to put up some money and get some signs. I'm starting to see your point about the self-funding issue.

Yeah, Jim.
"Lori DeLuca did some good things for Flower Mound."
You should put that sentence on your campaign signs. Sounds like a winner.
And keep implying that Jodi Smith is "just plain arrogant", using a public forum to do so. That's the sort of positive campaign message that Flower Mound voters will find attractive.
