Anxious elementary school kids and parents gathering around the new class lists posted at Old Settlers Elementary tonight.
School starts Monday -- better watch your speed!

I'm an OSE parent. I wonder why Old Settlers won't let the kids come in and see their classroom and meet their teacher like Liberty Elementary does. This would take away much of the anxiety that so many kids have about the first day of school. I've heard the rationale is the teachers are trying to get ready for Monday......hummm....is one hour that much to ask for??
Well, I was a teacher and I can tell you that putting aside "one hour" often turns into much more time than that. What's the big deal? Let the kids meet their teacher on the first day of school like we used to do!
