Follow-up: Where's a Flower Mounder to weekend or retire?

Posted these thoughts a few weeks ago. We're trying to decide if we're interesting in investing in a weekend/vacation retreat. Nothing fancy for now. Just a lot in a nice place, for occasional use and for safe-keeping.

Yesterday, we visited The Cliffs resort community on Possum Kingdom Lake, about 2 hours west of Flower Mound. But the sales experience was really a strange one, totally perplexing.
